In this time of the use and awareness of money changing in the world, there are ways to become philanthropic without physical dollars. Choose one or more of these organizations (or others you know about) and offer your heart energy to them. Add them to whatever energy work you are involved in--prayer, meditation, Reiki, etc. Make a pledge to yourself to send them that energy--it DOES make a difference!
Camp to Belong Reuniting siblings placed in separate foster homes or other out-of-home care.
Children's Angel Flight They "ensure that no needy child patient is denied access to distant specialized medical evaluation, diagnosis or treatment for lack of a means of long-distance medical air transportation."
No Limits A theater program for deaf and hard-of-hearing children.
Project Linus They provide hand-made blankets to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Sleeping Children Around the World They provide bedkits for children in developing countries. Each bedkit consists of a mat or mattress, pillow, sheet, blanket, mosquito net (if applicable), clothing outfit, towel, and school supplies. (The contents of each kit will vary from country to country depending on local need.) They keep their overhead low by having volunteer travelers deliver the bedkits.
